Job summary

Oxford Dental Group in Connecticut is seeking a Part-time Dental Hygienist to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive dental hygiene care in a friendly, patient-focused environment with a strong commitment to quality and patient comfort.

Responsibilities include prophylaxis, radiographs, patient education, and documentation. Requirements include an Associate’s degree in dental hygiene and a valid Connecticut RDH license; availability for set shifts is preferred.

• Associate’s degree from an accredited dental hygiene program and CT RDH license.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; proven ability to follow policies.

Responsibilities

• Perform dental hygiene services including prophylaxis, scaling and root planning, fluoride and sealants.
• Detect oral disease through screening and periodontal testing; assess recession levels.
• Select materials/equipment for hygiene visits based on patient oral health; document histories and vital signs.
• Educate patients on oral hygiene and postoperative care; provide instructions.
• Sterilize equipment and take x-rays as needed per ADA guidance.

Currently, we are looking for a Part-time Dental Hygienist to join our family. Candidate should have a strong work-ethic and be a team player. Recent graduates are welcomed!

Specific Job Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To

• Perform dental hygiene services and procedures, including dental prophylaxis, scaling and root planning, application of fluoride and sealants
• Detect disease by completing oral cancer screening; feeling and visually examining gums, using probes to locate periodontal disease and to assess levels of recession
• Selection of materials and equipment for dental hygiene visit by evaluating patient’s oral health
• Educate patients by giving oral hygiene and plaque control instructions and postoperative instructions
• Document dental hygiene services by recording vital signs, medical and dental histories, and charting in patient charts
• Sterilization of equipment
• Take x-rays as necessary and as recommended by the ADA

• Monday - 7:30am - 6pm
• Wednesday - 7:30am - 5pm
• One Saturday per month - 7:30am - 12pm

Salary Description $42-$48/ hour
