Comprehensive Dental Health, an office within Dental Associates of Connecticut, is seeking a full-time Dental Hygienist to join our New Haven team. The ideal candidate will have a Connecticut RDH license, an associate degree in dental hygiene, and a strong work ethic with a team orientation.

Recent graduates welcome. Responsibilities include prophylaxis, scaling, root planing, fluoride applications, x-rays, patient education, and accurate record-keeping.

Responsabilités

• Perform dental hygiene services including prophylaxis, scaling, root planing, fluoride and sealants.
• Detect disease via oral cancer screening and periodontal assessment.
• Select materials and equipment for hygiene visits based on patient health.
• Educate patients on oral hygiene and postoperative care.
• Document hygiene services with vital signs and histories.
• Sterilize equipment.
• Take x-rays as recommended by the ADA.

Currently, we are looking for a full-time Dental Hygienist to join our family. Candidate should have a strong work-ethic and be a team player.

Recent graduates and experienced providers are welcomed.

Specific Job Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To

• Perform dental hygiene services and procedures, including dental prophylaxis, scaling and root planing, application of fluoride and sealants
• Detect disease by completing oral cancer screening; feeling and visually examining gums, using probes to locate periodontal disease and to assess levels of recession
• Selection of materials and equipment for dental hygiene visit by evaluating patient's oral health
• Educate patients by giving oral hygiene and plaque control instructions and postoperative instructions
• Document dental hygiene services by recording vital signs, medical and dental histories, and charting in patient charts
• Sterilization of equipment
• Take x-rays as necessary and as recommended by the ADA

Requirements

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Proven ability to follow outlined policies and guidelines
• Possess a professional and positive attitude
• Associate's degree from an accredited dental hygiene program
• Valid license to practice in Connecticut (Registered Dental Hygienist, RDH)
• Ability to reliably commute to the office location in New Haven, CT
• Available to work a total of 4-5 days per week within office hours. Specific shifts to be determined.
