Comprehensive Dental Health, an office within Dental Associates of Connecticut, in New Haven, CT, seeks a full-time Dental Hygienist to join our team. The role focuses on preventive care, patient education, and maintaining high standards of clinical excellence in a welcoming environment.

Applicants should hold an accredited Associate degree in dental hygiene and CT RDH license, with strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset. 4–5 workdays per week; shifts posted.

We employ dentists in the specialties of general dentistry, pediatric dentistry, orthodontics, endodontics, periodontics, oral surgery and prosthodontics. Currently, we are looking for a full-time Dental Hygienist to join our family. Candidate should have a strong work-ethic and be a team player. Recent graduates and experienced providers are welcomed.

Specific job responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Perform dental hygiene services and procedures, including dental prophylaxis, scaling and root planing, application of fluoride and sealants
• Detect disease by completing oral cancer screening; feeling and visually examining gums, using probes to locate periodontal disease and to assess levels of recession
• Selection of materials and equipment for dental hygiene visit by evaluating patient's oral health
• Educate patients by giving oral hygiene and plaque control instructions and postoperative instructions
• Document dental hygiene services by recording vital signs, medical and dental histories, and charting in patient charts
• Sterilization of equipment
• Take x-rays as necessary and as recommended by the ADA

Requirements

• Associate's degree from an accredited dental hygiene program
• Valid license to practice in Connecticut (Registered Dental Hygienist, RDH)
• Ability to reliably commute to the office location in New Haven, CT
• Available to work a total of 4-5 days per week within office hours. Specific shifts to be determined.
