Position Summary
Sinclair Dental Hygiene Program is designed tosuccessfully prepare students to enter the dental profession in anyone of the designated roles of the dental hygienist as defined by the American Dental Hygienists’ Association and be employed in a variety of settings.
Salary
Sinclair is currently seeking part-time (adjunct) faculty to work in the Dental Hygiene Clinic in the mornings and afternoons at the Dayton campus. The starting pay for Adjunct Faculty is $1,046per credit hour assigned to teach.

Principal Accountabilities
- Adjunct faculty teach curriculum developed by thedepartment
- Plan and organize instruction in ways which maximize studentlearning
- Prepare, distribute and submit syllabi for all assignedsections in accordance with department and divisional policies
- Employ appropriate teaching and learning strategies, useavailable instructional technology when appropriate
- Modify, where appropriate, instructional methods and strategiesto meet diverse student’s needs
- Support classroom and online efforts to promote studentsuccess
- Evaluate and return student work in a timely manner to promotelearning
- Maintain accurate records of student progress
- Submit final grade rosters according to establisheddeadlines
- Maintain confidentiality of student information
- Cannot exceed maximum of 12 credit hours per semester
Requirements
- Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in a related field required
- Minimum of three years of working experience in the field or industry as a dentist or dental hygienist required
- Evidence of successful prior teaching experience ispreferred
- Demonstrated commitment to improving student learning through innovative strategies shown to help students succeed at the courseand program level
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work successfully in a community collegeenvironment
- Must possess demonstrated skills in using modern educationaltechnology, including multimedia-based instruction
