Job summary

Wesley Health Centers - JWCH Institute, Inc. seeks a Front Office-Dental Services Patient Representative/Dental Assistant to welcome patients, verify visit purposes, manage scheduling, and support the dental team with administrative and financial tasks.

The role requires strong communication skills, familiarity with NextGen or Dentrix, a high school diploma or GED, and the ability to drive to clinic sites. Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Experience in financial support duties is preferred.
• Knowledge of NextGen and/or Dentrix is required.
• Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
• Bilingual English/Spanish is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet and verify the purpose of the patient’s visit and determine priority.
• Verify and record eligibility and registration in the Electronic Practice Management System.
• Monitor patient wait times and communicate status to patients.
• Schedule appointments and provide referral documentation as needed.
• Manage telephone calls and ensure courteous, prompt handling of issues.
• Collect patient co-pays and process daily reconciliations of payments.
• Communicate with the patient care team to ensure seamless transitions between hand-offs.
• Maintain accurate records and perform basic office bookkeeping.
