Job summary

JWCH Institute, Inc. is seeking a Dental Assistant to support dentists in delivering primary dental care at our Los Angeles County clinics.

The role includes chairside assistance, sterilization, instrument prep, radiographs, and ensuring infection control and regulatory compliance. You will also help with front desk duties, appointment scheduling, patient check-in, insurance verification, and patient flow to enhance the care experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Completion of accredited dental assisting courses.
• Radiation Safety Certificate required.
• 8-hour infection control course per California Dental Board guidelines, CPR and First Aid certifications required.
• Coronal Polish Certificate required as of January 1, 2025.
• Knowledge of oral health education for diverse patient groups.

Responsibilities

• Serve as chairside assistant, using four-handed dentistry.
• Prepare procedures and equipment per Dental Department protocols.
• Complete digital radiographs and intraoral photographs per state regulations.
• Maintain infection control and HIPAA compliance.
• Front office duties: scheduling, insurance verification, patient check-in/out, co-pays, patient flow.
• Participate in safety trainings and report hazards.
