Job summary

Charlotte Community Health Clinic in Charlotte, NC is seeking a Patient Services Representative to greet patients, verify demographics and insurance, collect co-pays, and schedule appointments while maintaining accurate records in Dentrix/EPIC.

This full-time role requires a high school diploma, bilingual English/Spanish, two years of clerical experience in a dental office, and Dentrix/EPIC familiarity; you should be comfortable using Microsoft Word and Excel.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Two years of clerical experience in dental office preferred.
• Bi-lingual in English and Spanish is required*.
• Experience with Dentrix/EPIC preferred.
• Legible handwriting for notations in charts.
• Experience with Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, etc.)

Responsibilities

• Patient Registration: Enter complete accurate patient demographic and insurance information; greet patient; verify demographics and insurance information; copy insurance card and add to record; obtain updated registration signature.
• Patient Check Out: Verify charges, recheck insurance, schedule recalls, collect balance due, run close reports and reconcile payments.
• Scheduling: Enter patient demographics for new patients; verify information for established patients; schedule by availability and urgency.
• General Clerical Duties: File, copy, fax; answer phones; provide follow-up messages.
• Dentrix/EPIC: Update missing guarantor data; resolve billing/insurance questions; assist front desk registration; resolve patient billing concerns.
