Job summary

Charlotte Community Health Clinic seeks a certified dental assistant to support dentists in all phases of care, including radiography and infection control. You will prepare instruments and rooms, manage patient flow, take and mount x-rays, and help with charting and records in a busy, diverse community clinic.

The role requires excellent communication, teamwork, and bilingual English/Spanish skills; radiographic certification is required.

Qualifications

• Completion of a certified dental assistant training program is required.
• Radiographic certification is required.
• At least 1 year of clinical experience as a dental assistant.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish is required.

Responsibilities

• Assist dentist in all phases of dental care and present procedures.
• Take, develop, and mount x-rays; may perform complex radiography.
• Prepare and sterilize exam rooms and equipment following safety standards.
• Order, stock supplies, and maintain equipment.
• Instruct patients on oral health techniques and care.
• Maintain and prepare dental records and reports.
• Assist in training new dental assistants.
• Deliver patient education on dental hygiene and plaque control.
