Job summary

Great Expressions is seeking a Patient Coordinator to be the first point of contact for patients in our Riverview, FL dental office. You will greet patients, handle scheduling, and manage patient records while ensuring privacy and accuracy.

You will coordinate with dental staff to maintain a smooth patient flow, confirm appointments, and assist with basic billing tasks. Prior experience in a healthcare front desk role is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience as receptionist or in customer service, healthcare preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Proficient in dental practice software and MS Office.
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Knowledge of dental terminology and insurance processes desirable.

Responsibilities

• Welcome patients warmly and guide them to the waiting area.
• Schedule appointments based on patient needs and staff availability.
• Manage patient records and maintain confidentiality
• Collect and verify patient information and insurance details.
• Process co-pays and assist with billing inquiries.
• Coordinate with dental staff for smooth appointment flow.
• Respond to patient questions via phone, email, or in person.
• Provide pre-appointment instructions and paperwork guidance.
• Maintain reception area cleanliness and organization.
• Support other front-desk tasks as needed.
