Job summary

Touro College of Dental Medicine seeks a Clinical Faculty member to oversee student clinicians in the dental clinic and mentor learners across direct patient care and clinical education.

Reporting to the Clinical Practice Leader, and collaborating with the Director of Clinical Education and Associate Dean, you will guide student-patient interactions, monitor performance, and support professionalism and ethics in a dynamic teaching environment.

Qualifications

• D.D.S./DMD degree from a CODA-accredited school or equivalent.
• Dental license registration; must be eligible for NY licensure.
• Evidence of commitment to diversity in teaching and patient care.

Responsibilities

• Initiate student doctor/patient interaction and guide transition to clinical practice.
• Review student rosters and monitor performance in community practices.
• Provide guidance in care, monitor treatment planning and progress in clinical practices.
• Model professionalism and patient management techniques for students.
• Ensure accuracy of student notes and approve procedures, assessing preparedness and professionalism.
