Touro College of Dental Medicine in Albuquerque, NM is seeking a periodontal faculty member to provide direct patient care and to mentor/teach dental students in the clinic. The role reports to the Director of Oral Surgery and involves clinical supervision, teaching responsibilities, and participation in faculty activities.

The ideal candidate holds a D.D.S./D.M.D. from a CODA-accredited program with a specialty certificate, is eligible for New Mexico licensure, and has prior teaching

Qualificações

• DDS/ DMD from CODA-accredited dental school or equivalent.
• Certificate of training from ADA-accredited specialty program.
• Dental license registration; must be eligible for licensure in the state of New Mexico.
• Previous teaching experience.

Responsabilidades

• Direct patient care within the periodontal clinic.
• Mentor and teach dental students during clinical sessions.
• Model professionalism and patient management techniques.
• Assist in reviewing student performance and progress.
• Assist Director of Periodontics with student performance reviews.
• Maintain accuracy of student clinical notes and coding, and evaluate preparedness, professionalism, and promptness.
• Ensure infection control compliance and clinical protocol adherence in all areas.
• Attend clinical faculty meetings and participate in relevant committees.
