Job summary

Touro University seeks a Pre-Clinical Faculty member for the US-NY-Hawthorne location. The role involves teaching Basic Sciences and Preclinical dental courses, reporting to the Course Director.

This part-time position requires availability for lectures, labs, and assessments, with opportunities to engage in academic activities beyond scheduled hours. Qualifications include a DDS or DMD and preferred CPR and dental licensure.

Qualifications

• DDS or DMD required.
• CPR certification preferred.
• Dental license registration preferred.
• DEA number preferred.

Responsibilities

• Attend all lectures and lab sessions on time and prepared.
• Make lectures and presentations as requested by Course Director.
• Abide by all course syllabi and calibration materials.
• Enter data into the Canvas Learning System.
• Supervise and assist students in Sim Lab with exercises.
• Notify Course Director of student difficulties with material.
• Assist in grading summative exams as needed.
• Follow safety protocols in Sim Lab and document incidents as needed.
• Participate in one-on-one meetings with students as needed by Course Director.
• Attend committee and university meetings as scheduled.
• Pursue other academic activities outside of schedule when time permits.
