Job summary

Touro College of Dental Medicine in Albuquerque seeks a Director of Oral Surgery who reports to the Director of Clinical Education to lead student doctor–patient interaction and guide the transition to clinical practice in oral surgery.

Responsibilities include monitoring treatment planning and student performance, modeling professionalism, coordinating with Patient Care Coordinators, and ensuring adequate clinic coverage and calibration of faculty.

Qualifications

• DDS/DMD from a CODA‑accredited dental school or equivalent.
• Certificate of training and educationally qualified from an ADA‑accredited specialty program.
• Dental License Registration; must be eligible for licensure in the state of New Mexico.

Responsibilities

• Monitor treatment planning and student performance in the oral surgery clinic.
• Model professionalism and patient management for students.
• Coordinate with Patient Care Coordinators to resolve patient issues.
• Review student performance and ensure adequate clinical coverage and calibration of faculty.
• Participate in clinical policy and student promotion committees as appropriate.
• Lead and oversee infection control and clinical protocols in the oral surgery clinic.
