Job summary

PDS Health is hiring a Healthcare Coordinator to partner with Dentists and help secure financial commitments from patients for urgent treatment. You will educate patients on treatment choices, overcome objections, and support clinicians with efficient scheduling and pre-authorizations.

The role emphasizes PPE and PFL through a consultative patient care approach, with daily huddles and ongoing collaboration across the team.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Travel might be required between offices.
• Preferred: prior course work or on-the-job training in dentistry, insurance, or business.

Responsibilities

• Models company culture, values, standards, and best operational practices based on the We Believe Behavioral Framework.
• Gain a financial commitment from the patient to start the dentistry that the Dentist is diagnosing for their patient.
• Achieve proficiency in PDS system and tools to assist patients in making the best possible decision for their needs.
• Executes the HC Handoff in partnership with each clinician on every exam patient.
• Subject matter expert on all available financial options to give patients choices to fit their budget.
• Overcome common patient objections to starting treatment.
• Obtain necessary insurance pre-authorizations for patients who need this prior to completing treatment.
• Ensure the office exemplifies the Comprehensive Care Model within and outside.
• Active participant in daily morning huddles and monthly team meetings.
• Understand business imperatives and how the role impacts metrics.
• Demonstrate stewardship of the PDS Brand.
• Be knowledgeable on the Mouth Body Connection and support clinical excellence.
• Maintain professional appearance and demeanor; address others professionally and respectfully.
• Ensure compliance with Company policies and regulations.
• Other duties as assigned.
