Job summary

Valley Smiles Dental Care, supported by Heartland Dental, is seeking a Dental Assistant to join our team in a busy practice. You’ll greet patients, review health histories, take x-rays with modern tools, and provide four-handed chairside support to dentists.

Proficiency with Dentrix, strong communication, and adherence to OSHA/CDC safety protocols are essential. This role offers growth within a nationally backed network focused on patient care.

Qualifications

Working knowledge of dental procedures and terminology.
Experience in fast-paced, customer-centric environments.
Dental assistant certification and/or x-ray certification as required by state law.
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
HIPAA training and PHI protection understanding.

Responsibilities

Greet and welcome patients and educate them throughout treatment.
Review health history to provide quality care.
Take and process x-rays and diagnostic assessments.
Provide chairside assistance to dentists during procedures.
Use Dentrix for scheduling and record keeping.
Prepare treatment rooms following safety protocols (OSHA & CDC).
Manage supplies and place orders; support workflow improvements.
