Heartland Dental’s Wimauma Dental Care in Florida is seeking a Dental Assistant for a temporary position from 11/9 to 4/12, with potential permanency. The role supports patient care from check-in through treatment and uses Dentrix for scheduling and records.

The ideal candidate will have knowledge of dental procedures, experience in fast-paced settings, and a certification (x-ray) if required by state law. Training and a collaborative team environment are provided.

Qualifications

• Working knowledge of dental procedures and terminology.
• Experience in fast-paced, customer-centric environments.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Must have dental assistant certification and/or x-ray certification if required by state act.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist patients from arrival through treatment.
• Take and process x-rays and other diagnostic assessments.
• Provide four-handed chairside assistance to dentists.
• Manage scheduling and patient records using Dentrix.
• Prepare treatment rooms adhering to safety protocols.
• Maintain inventory and order supplies.
• Collaborate with the team to improve office workflow.
