Heartland Dental LLC in North Port, FL is seeking an experienced Dental Assistant to join our growing team. You will greet patients, review health histories, and provide chairside support across a range of procedures, while using Dentrix for scheduling and record-keeping.

The role emphasizes adherence to OSHA/CDC safety guidelines and a collaborative, patient‑centered approach to care in a thriving, multi‑office network.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of dental assisting experience.
• Working knowledge of dental procedures and terminology.
• Experience in fast-paced, customer-centric environment.
• Certification and/or x-ray certification as required by state practice act.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome patients from the start of their dental journey, and educate patients throughout treatment.
• Review patient health history to ensure quality care.
• Take and process x‑rays and other diagnostic assessments (iTero 3D scanner, digital photography).
• Provide chairside assistance (four‑handed dentistry) to dentists during procedures per state practice act.
• Use Dentrix for scheduling and record-keeping.
• Prepare treatment rooms following safety protocols (OSHA & CDC).
• Manage supply and inventory levels and place/expedite orders as needed.
• Partner with providers to implement Heartland Dental systems and maximize office workflow.
