Job summary

Heartland Dental is seeking a Temporary Dental Assistant in Estero, FL for a short-term period from November 20th to November 30th, 2026. The role involves greeting patients, reviewing health histories, taking X-rays, and assisting dentists with chairside support across a variety of procedures.

You will use Dentrix for scheduling and records, uphold safety protocols, and ensure efficient office workflow. Prior dental assisting experience and relevant certifications are preferred for this

Qualifications

Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Working knowledge of dental procedures and terminology.
Experience in fast-paced, customer-centric environment.
If required, dental assistant certification and/or x-ray certification per state act.

Responsibilities

Greet and welcome patients from the start of their dental journey and educate throughout treatment.
Review patient health history to provide quality care.
Take and process x-rays and other diagnostic assessments (iTero 3D scanner, digital photography).
Provide chairside assistance (four-handed dentistry) to dentists during procedures.
Utilize Dentrix for scheduling and records.
