Heart Of Florida Health Center Inc. is seeking an entry-level Dental Assistant for a part-time role (1 day per week, 8 hours). Responsibilities include screening patients, assisting dentists and hygienists, educating patients, and processing instruments, all in compliance with HIPAA, CDC, and OSHA standards.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or GED, EFDA certificate with radiology, and a current BLS credential. A Florida driver’s license and reliable transportation are required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• EFDA Training certificate with dental radiology required.
• Current BLS certificate from a recognized organization.
• Valid Florida driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• No prior dental assistant experience required, but preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform delegable dental assisting duties per Florida statutes and rules.
• Screen and prepare patients for treatment; assist hygienist/dentists.
• Educate patients and document medical and dental history.
• Sterilize and manage dental instruments; maintain OSHA/CDC standards.
• Assist in 4-handed dentistry and operatory procedures.
• Record charting, treatment plans, and consent forms.
• Schedule patients and complete data entry in the medical record.
