Job summary

Chancellor Crossing Dental Care is seeking a Dental Assistant to join our team in Fredericksburg, VA. You will support dentists with chairside procedures, manage patient records, and operate digital imaging systems while maintaining high standards of patient care and safety.

You will use Dentrix for scheduling, handle x-rays, and ensure PHI protection with HIPAA training. The role emphasizes learning, teamwork, and patient-first service in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in a dental setting
• Working knowledge of dental procedures and terminology
• Experience in fast-paced, customer-centric environment
• VA x-ray certification required
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• HIPAA training and protecting PHI

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome patients and educate during treatment
• Review patient health history for quality care
• Take and process x-rays and other diagnostic assessments (iTero 3D scanner, digital photography)
• Provide chairside assistance (four-handed dentistry) to dentists
• Use Dentrix for scheduling and record keeping
• Prepare treatment room with safety protocols per OSHA & CDC
• Manage supply and inventory levels and place/expedite orders
• Collaborate with providers to implement Heartland Dental systems and improve office workflow
