Job summary

Montefiore Medical Center in Bronx, NY, seeks a Dental Assistant to support dentists in patient care. Under close supervision, you will hand instruments, prepare operatory, manage supplies, and maintain charts and logs. Ideal candidates have a High School diploma, 1–3 years dental experience, familiarity with Epic EMR/SAP, and basic computer skills. Certification is preferred; state regulations apply.

Qualifications

• High School or GED required; 1–3 years in a dental setting preferred.
• Experience in customer service and multitasking strongly preferred.
• Knowledge of dental x-ray equipment, autoclave, dental software (Epic, EMR, SAP) and Microsoft Word/Excel.

Responsibilities

• Hand dental instruments to the dentist during treatment.
• Arrange operatory with supplies and equipment.
• Maintain inventory lists of supplies and instruments.
• Complete X-rays and ensure sanitary conditions of operatory.
• Maintain logs and calibrations; ensure sterility in autoclaving.
