Qualifications

• High School or GED required.
• 1–3 years’ experience in a dental setting required.
• Experience in customer service and multi-tasking preferred.
• Knowledge of dental equipment and computer systems (Epic, EMR, SAP, Word, Excel) and telephone.
• Word and Excel skills required.
• Ability to use data entry and patient information systems.
• English proficiency preferred for centers with language learners.
• Ability to work independently per policies and procedures.
• OHS Annual Assessment required.
• Dental assistant certificate preferred.

Responsibilities

• Hand dental instruments to the dentist during treatment.
• Arrange operatory with supplies and equipment.
• Maintain inventory of supplies and instruments.
• Complete X-rays ordered by the dentist.
• Maintain sanitary conditions of operatory and work areas.
• Ensure sterility and quality control in autoclaving.
• Maintain equipment and keep logs/reports updated.
• Present clean and professional appearance and attire.
• Treat coworkers with respect and cooperate as a team.
• Assist with orientation for new dental associates.
