Job summary

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• 1-3 years dental assistant experience required.
• Experience in customer service and multi-tasking preferred.
• Proficient with Epic EMR, SAP, Word and Excel.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel required.
• Ability to use data entry and patient information systems.
• Spanish or secondary language proficiency preferred if population is English Learners.
• OHS Annual Assessment required.
• Dental assistant certificate preferred.

Responsibilities

• Hand dental instruments to dentist during treatment.
• Arrange operatory with supplies and equipment.
• Maintain sterile conditions and autoclave quality control.
• Complete dental X-rays as ordered by dentist.
• Maintain inventory of supplies and instruments.
• Keep logs and report issues promptly.
• Maintain clean, professional appearance and clinic areas.
• Assist with orientation of new staff.
