Job summary

Heartland Dental through Gallitan Dental Care in Tennessee seeks a part-time Hygiene Assistant to join our team. You will work closely with our hygiene providers to deliver excellent patient care while receiving extensive on-the-job training and ongoing development opportunities.

Greet patients, review health history, assist hygienists, and help prepare rooms. Dentrix will be used for scheduling/record-keeping. Strong communication and teamwork are essential in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• On the job training and additional certification may be required based on state requirements.
• High school graduate or GED Equivalent.
• Team Player.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced customer-focused environment.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Must have DA license w/radiology in TN and HIPAA training.

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome patients from the start of their dental journey and educate throughout treatment.
• Review health history to provide quality care.
• Provide superior assistance to hygienists during procedures.
• Set up rooms for hygiene visits, stocking supplies.
• Utilize Dentrix for scheduling and record keeping.
• Prepare treatment room with safety protocols and OSHA/CDC guidelines.
• Work with the team to maximize office workflow.
