Heartland Dental's Dental Arts of Aurora office is hiring a Dental Assistant to join a collaborative team. The role includes greeting patients, reviewing health histories, taking x-rays, and providing four-handed chairside assistance.

Qualifying candidates will have dental assisting and/or x-ray certification and strong communication skills. The position offers daily patient care in a fast-paced environment with Dentrix-based scheduling, safety protocols, and ongoing training.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of dental procedures and terminology.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, customer-centric environment.
• Dental assistant certification and/or x-ray certification as required by state.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• HIPAA training and PHI data protection awareness.

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome patients from the start of their dental journey and provide patient education.
• Review patient health history to inform care.
• Take and process x-rays and other diagnostic assessments.
• Provide chairside assistance to dentists during procedures.
• Utilize Dentrix for scheduling and record keeping.
• Prepare treatment rooms following safety protocols and OSHA/CDC guidelines.
• Manage supplies and inventory and place/expedite orders as needed.
