Heartland Dental is seeking a Dental Assistant in Smyrna, TN, welcoming new graduates. You’ll support clinicians, educate patients, and help maintain a streamlined practice using Dentrix and iTero technology.

The role emphasizes strong patient communication, safety protocols per OSHA/CDC, and collaboration with the Heartland team to improve office workflow. Training and growth are highlighted within a stable, growth-oriented network.

Qualifications

• Working knowledge of dental procedures and terminology.
• Experience in a fast-paced, customer-centric environment.
• Dental assistant certification and/or x-ray certification if required by state law.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• HIPAA training and protecting PHI as required.

Responsibilities

• Greet and educate patients at the start of their dental journey and maintain patient comfort throughout treatment.
• Review patient health history to support quality care.
• Take and process x-rays and other diagnostics (iTero 3D scanner, digital photography).
• Provide chairside assistance (four-handed dentistry) to dentists per state practice act.
• Utilize Dentrix for scheduling and record keeping.
• Prepare treatment rooms following OSHA and CDC safety guidelines.
• Manage supplies and place orders; support office workflow improvements.
