Job summary

Heartland Dental LLC is seeking a full-time Dental Assistant for Gallatin Dental Care in Gallatin, TN. You will greet patients, review health histories, take X-rays, and provide chairside assistance while supporting the office with Dentrix scheduling and safety protocols.

Qualifications

Knowledge of dental procedures and terminology.
Experience in fast-paced, customer-centric environment.
Certification and/or x-ray certification as required by state practice act.
Strong communication and organizational skills.
HIPAA training and PHI protection required.

Responsibilities

Greet and welcome patients and support comfort and education throughout treatment.
Review patient health histories to ensure quality care.
Take and process X-rays and other diagnostic assessments (iTero, digital photography).
Provide chairside assistance (four-handed dentistry) to dentists during procedures.
Use Dentrix for scheduling and record keeping.
Prepare treatment rooms with safety protocols (OSHA & CDC).
Manage supply and inventory levels; place and expedite orders as needed.
Collaborate with providers and team to implement Heartland Dental systems and improve workflow.
