Job summary

Heartland Dental is seeking a Full-Time Dental Assistant for Dental Designs on Poplar in Collierville, TN to support clinicians with four-handed dentistry, take x-rays, and ensure a comfortable patient experience.

You’ll work with iTero 3D scanning, Dentrix scheduling, and uphold safety with OSHA/CDC guidelines while providing high-quality care. The role offers education and training, competitive benefits, and opportunity for growth within Heartland Dental’s nationwide network.

Qualifications

• Working knowledge of dental procedures and terminology.
• Experience in a fast-paced, customer-centric environment.
• Dental assistant certification and/or x-ray certification as required by state law.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• HIPAA training and PHI protection compliance.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and educate them throughout treatment while maintaining comfort.
• Review health history to inform quality care.
• Take and process x-rays and diagnostic assessments (iTero 3D scanner, digital photography).
• Provide chairside assistance during procedures in line with state practice acts.
• Utilize Dentrix for scheduling and record keeping.
• Prepare treatment rooms following safety protocols (OSHA & CDC).
• Manage supplies and inventory; place and expedite orders.
• Collaborate with providers to improve office workflow and Heartland systems.
