Job summary

Gateway Modern Dentistry in Texas is seeking a Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) to support the dentist in delivering high-quality care and a smooth patient experience. You will assist with treatments, prepare patients, and help ensure comfort and efficiency throughout visits.

The role emphasizes chair-side support, x-ray work, infection control, and patient education. A high school diploma or GED and state certifications are required; an associate degree or related certificate is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; state-mandated training courses.
• Associate degree or certificate from an accredited college or technically oriented school; or equivalent experience.
• Certifications/licenses/registrations as mandated by applicable state.

Responsibilities

• Assist the dentist to gain patient commitment for the best possible treatment with urgency
• Participate in the Perfect Patient Experience by keeping patients focused on optimal treatment and meeting their needs
• Maintain a clean, sterile environment and prepare patients for treatment while assisting the doctors
• Under dentist direction, take x-rays and intra-oral pictures as appropriate
• Instruct patients on postoperative and general oral health care
• Sterilize and disinfect instruments and operatories following ADA guidelines
• Ensure compliance with State, Federal, and other regulations (OSHA, HIPAA, ADA, etc.)
