Job summary

Denton Modern Dentistry and Orthodontics in Denton, TX is hiring a Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) to assist the dentist and help gain patient commitment for optimal treatment with urgency.

The RDA will take x-rays, educate patients, maintain a sterile environment, and support the doctor in diagnosis and treatment planning, while following safety and regulatory guidelines. Join a team of experienced professionals and gain valuable hands-on experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; state-mandated certification/licensure required
• Associate degree or 1-year certificate from an accredited college or technical school preferred
• Certifications/licenses/registrations as mandated by applicable state

Responsibilities

• Assist the dentist to gain the patient’s commitment for best possible treatment with urgency
• Actively participate in the Perfect Patient Experience by focusing on patient needs and concerns
• Maintain a clean, sterile environment and prepare patients for treatment
• Take x-rays and intra‑oral pictures as directed by the dentist
• Instruct patients on postoperative and general oral health care
• Sterilize and disinfect instruments, equipment, and operatories per ADA guidelines

Education
