Job summary

Ross Education Holdings, Inc. is seeking a part-time Dental Assistant Instructor for morning classes in Lansing, MI. This campus-based role teaches dental assisting topics, 8:30–1 schedule, with 9–18 hours per week and a $1,000 sign-on bonus for eligible new hires.

Responsibilities include delivering lectures, demonstrations, and hands-on practice for 10–20 students per session, using Ross curriculum. Evening classes (5:30–10) available PRN; strong teaching interest preferred.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of field experience with a national dental assistant certification.
• Formal education in a dental assisting program preferred; alternative with 5+ years in field and cert.
• Interest in teaching or prior teaching experience is required.

Lansing - Campus based position - $1000 SIGN ON BONUS AVAILABLE*

Morning Classes are M-F 8:30-1. We're looking for someone to teach year-round classes 4-5 days a week -18-27 hrs./wk.

We’d love to hear about your availability for PRN too - our Evening Classes run M-TH 5:30-10

Dental Assistant Instructor duties include:

• Teach in the Dental Assisting classroom with 10-20 students, covering clinical and administrative skills.
• Learning the material and delivering lectures and demonstrations, working from the Ross lesson plans and curriculum.
• Class sessions are 4.5 hours in either day or evening sessions.
• This is a part-time position, typically 9-18 hours per week.

*SIGN ON BONUS - For new hires only who have not been previously offered or employed by Ross. A $1000.00 sign‑on bonus for candidates accepting the Primary Instructor schedule as offered may be available. Details provided at the interview.

DA Instructor Qualifications: Requirements

• 3+ years’ experience in the field and a national certification as a Registered Dental Assistant (RDA from AMT) or Certified Dental Assistant (CDA from DANB) and formal training in a dental assisting program like Ross. If you do not have the formal education, you can also qualify with 5+ years’ experience in the field and a national certification. *additional requirements or exceptions may be applicable based on the state, program, and accreditation requirements
• Interest in teaching or prior experience
• Must be flexible and have a passion to learn and grow

• Clinical Coordinators need to have ability to travel to visit clinical sites or other meetings
• Prior teaching or formal tutoring experience using a developed curriculum, preferred
