Job summary

Ross Education Holdings, Inc. is seeking experienced Dental Assistant Instructors for year-round morning and evening classes at the Flint campus.

These part-time roles cover clinical and administrative skills with 4.5-hour sessions, 2–3 mornings weekly, providing an opportunity to teach and mentor future health care professionals. Ideal candidates have 3+ years in dental assisting with national certification, or 5+ years with certification, plus a passion for teaching and ongoing professional

Qualifications

• 3+ years’ dental assisting experience with national certification (RDA from AMT or CDA from DANB).
• Formal training in a dental assisting program like Ross is preferred.
• If formal education is unavailable, 5+ years’ field experience with national certification qualifies you.

Responsibilities

• Teach in the Dental Assisting classroom with 10-20 students, covering clinical and administrative skills.
• Deliver lectures and demonstrations based on Ross lesson plans and curriculum.
• Class sessions are 4.5 hours, in day or evening sessions; part-time schedule typically 9–23 hours per week.

We are looking for experienced DAs to become fully trained instructors for year round morning and evening classes. Morning classes run Monday-Friday 8:30-1 – we are looking for scheduled and unscheduled instructors for 2-3 morning classes a week

Dental Assistant Instructor duties include:

• Teach in the Dental Assisting classroom with 10-20 students, covering clinical and administrative skills.


• Learning the material and delivering lectures and demonstrations, working from the Ross lesson plans and curriculum.


• Class sessions are 4.5 hours in either day or evening sessions.


• This is a part-time position, typically 9-23 hours per week.

DA Instructor Qualifications and Requirements

• 3+ years’ experience in the field and a national certification as a Registered Dental Assistant (RDA from AMT) or Certified Dental Assistant (CDA from DANB) and formal training in a dental assisting program like Ross. If you do not have the formal education, you can also qualify with 5+ years’ experience in the field and a national certification. *additional requirements or exceptions may be applicable based on the state, program, and accreditation requirements


• Interest in teaching or prior experience


• Must be flexible and have a passion to learn and grow

• Clinical Coordinators need to have ability to travel to visit clinical sites or other meetings


• Prior teaching or formal tutoring experience using a developed curriculum, preferred
