Job summary

Ross Education Holdings, Inc. is seeking an experienced Dental Assistant to become a part-time instructor in Canton, MI. Morning classes run Monday through Friday from 8:30 to 1, with additional PRN opportunities for evenings.

The role involves teaching year-round sessions and delivering Ross curriculum to groups of 10–20 students. Ideal candidates have 3+ years of dental experience, national RDA or CDA certification, and a passion for teaching.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years’ experience in the field and a national certification as an RDA (AMT) or CDA (DANB) with formal training in a dental assisting program.
  • Interest in teaching or prior teaching experience

Responsibilities

  • Teach in the Dental Assisting classroom with 10-20 students, covering clinical and administrative skills.
  • Deliver lectures and demonstrations using Ross lesson plans and curriculum.
  • Class sessions are 4.5 hours in day or evening sessions.
  • Part-time position, typically 9-22.5 hours per week, with PRN hours as needed

Canton - Campus based position

We are looking for experienced DA's to become fully trained instructors to teach scheduled year round morning & evening classes and PRN. Full Paid Training.

Morning classes run M-F 8:30-1 - we are looking for someone to teach 2-5 mornings/week

Evening classes run M-TH 5:30-10 - we are looking for PRN instructors to fill in as needed

We are looking for experienced Dental Assistants to become fully trained instructors to teach year round classes as Primary Scheduled Instructors and Secondary Instructors ready to step in as needed for teaching assistant and substitutes as needed. Our schools and classes run year round.

Dental Assistant Instructor duties include:
  • Teach in the Dental Assisting classroom with 10-20 students, covering clinical and administrative skills.
  • Learning the material and delivering lectures and demonstrations, working from the Ross lesson plans and curriculum.
  • Class sessions are 4.5 hours in either day or evening sessions.
  • This is a part-time position, typically 9-22.5 hours per week, more with PRN hours if desired.

DA QualificationsRequirements
  • 3+ years’ experience in the field and a national certification as a Registered Dental Assistant (RDA from AMT) or Certified Dental Assistant (CDA from DANB) and formal training in a dental assisting program like Ross. If you do not have the formal education, you can also qualify with 5+ years’ experience in the field and a national certification. *additional requirements or exceptions may be applicable based on the state, program, and accreditation requirements
  • Interest in teaching or prior experience
  • Must be flexible and have a passion to learn and grow

  • Ability to achieve or maintain credential and/or licensure within expected time frames
  • Demonstrates professionalism in manner, dress and conduct as a representative of Ross and a student mentor
  • Ability to remain objective and treat all students equally
  • Attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Adhere to Ross Code of Conduct and Professional Ethics
  • Prior teaching or formal tutoring experience using a developed curriculum, preferred
  • Perform related work as required
