Job summary

Benevis in Richmond, Virginia is hiring a Dental Assistant to join our growing team. You will support the office and assist dental staff with patient care, exam preparation, and procedures, helping ensure a compassionate, high-quality experience for every patient.

You will participate in patient education, sanitation, chronicling treatment plans, and assisting with x-rays and operative procedures as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• X-ray certification preferred per state practices.
• Certified dental assistant credentials preferred per state practices.
• Bi-lingual in Spanish is a plus depending on location.

Responsibilities

• Deliver quality and compassionate care to every patient.
• Guide parents of minors and patients through our processes before treatment.
• Educate patients on oral hygiene and provide postoperative instructions.
• Prepare patient for examination and treatment.
• Take X-rays and save to patient charts (location dependent).
• Ensure hygiene bay and operatory rooms are ready for use.
• Prepare tray set-ups for dental procedures.
• Mix materials and prepare impression materials.
• Sterilize and disinfect instruments, equipment, chairs and rooms.
• Assist dental staff with treatment and documentation in patient charts.
