Job summary

Lone Peak Dental Group in Pueblo, CO is seeking a Dental Assistant with orthodontic experience to join our team. You will assist orthodontists in clinical and administrative tasks, prepare treatment rooms, take X-rays, educate patients, and manage records with a patient-focused approach.

This part-time role offers potential for future full-time hours, a Monday–Thursday schedule 8am–5pm and Friday 7am–4pm, and a benefits package including healthcare and PTO as part of our team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Completion of an accredited dental assistant program.
• X-ray certification is required.
• Orthodontic assisting experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in setting up treatment areas for orthodontic procedures.
• Support orthodontists during patient examinations and treatments.
• Take and process dental X-rays.
• Sterilize and maintain dental instruments and equipment.
• Educate patients on orthodontic care and oral hygiene practices.
• Schedule patient appointments and manage dental records.
• Handle administrative tasks like billing and insurance processing.
• Ensure infection control and safety standards.
