Lone Peak Dental Group in Colorado is seeking a Dental Assistant with orthodontic experience to join our team. The Dental Assistant will assist orthodontists in clinical and administrative tasks, including preparing treatment rooms, sterilizing equipment, taking X-rays, educating patients, and providing general dental assistance.

This position offers part-time hours, with the potential for full-time hours in the future. Full time Monday-Thursday 8am-5pm and Friday 7am-4pm.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of an accredited dental assistant program.
• X-ray certification.
• Orthodontic assisting experience preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Exceptional attention to detail and organizational abilities.

Responsibilities

• Assist in setting up treatment areas for orthodontic procedures.
• Support orthodontists during patient examinations and treatments.
• Take and process dental X-rays.
• Sterilize and maintain dental instruments and equipment.
• Educate patients on orthodontic care and oral hygiene practices.
• Schedule patient appointments and manage dental records.
• Handle administrative tasks like billing and insurance processing.
• Ensure infection control and safety standards.
