Job summary

Downtown Dental Care at Jensen Beach, part of Heartland Dental, is seeking a Dental Assistant to join our team. The role supports clinicians with chairside assistance, patient education, and efficient office workflow.

Ideal candidates bring knowledge of dental procedures, X-ray certification, and experience with Dentrix in a fast-paced, patient-centric environment. Monday-Thursday and Friday hours apply, with a focus on safety and high-quality patient care.

Qualifications

• Working knowledge of dental procedures and terminology.
• Experience in fast-paced, customer-centric environments.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome patients and educate them throughout treatment.
• Review patient health history to ensure quality care.
• Take and process x-rays and other diagnostic assessments.
• Provide chairside assistance (four-handed dentistry) during procedures.
• Use Dentrix for scheduling and record keeping.
• Prepare treatment rooms following safety protocols (OSHA & CDC).
• Manage supplies and inventory and place orders as needed.
• Collaborate with providers and team to implement Heartland Dental systems.
