Job summary

Heartland Dental LLC is seeking a Hygiene Assistant for a Monday-Thursday schedule (7:45am-5pm) at Dental Care of Viera East. This role offers extensive on-the-job training to develop dental assisting skills within a world-class organization that supports ongoing career growth.

You will greet patients, review health histories, and assist hygienists across a variety of procedures while maintaining safety and efficiency using Dentrix and standard office protocols.

Qualifications

• On the job training and additional certification may be required based on state requirements.
• High school graduate or GED equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome patients from the start of their dental journey, and educate them throughout treatment.
• Conduct a thorough review of the patient health history for quality care.
• Provide superior assistance to supported hygienists during procedures.
• Assist with setting up rooms for hygiene visits, stocking and restocking instruments.
• Utilize Dentrix for patient scheduling and record keeping.
• Prepare treatment room with adherence to safety protocols and OSHA/CDC guidelines.
• Collaborate with providers to follow office systems and maximize workflow.
