Job summary

Heartland Dental LLC is seeking a Dental Assistant for Family Dental Care of Medina. You will greet patients, review health histories, and provide chair-side assistance to supported dentists while maintaining strict safety and PHI protections.

The role includes taking x-rays and using digital tools (iTero, Dentrix) and ensuring smooth clinic operations through inventory and collaboration with the team.

Qualifications

• Minimum qualification: working knowledge of dental procedures and terminology.
• Experience in a fast-paced, customer-centric environment is preferred.
• Dental assistant certification and/or x-ray certification may be required under state practice act.

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome patients and educate them during treatment.
• Review health history to ensure quality care.
• Take and process x-rays and other diagnostics (iTero 3D scanner, digital photography).
• Provide chair-side assistance to dentists during various procedures.
• Use Dentrix for scheduling and record keeping.
• Prepare treatment rooms following safety protocols (OSHA & CDC).
• Manage supplies and place/expedite orders as needed.
• Collaborate with providers to maximize office workflow.
