Heartland Dental is seeking a Dental Assistant to join our team inMontrose, CO. This position supports clinicians with chairside assistance, x-ray processing, and patient education while maintaining strict safety protocols.

The ideal candidate will have dental assistant certification and, if required by state law, x-ray certification, plus strong communication and organizational skills. We offer comprehensive benefits and a collaborative work environment.

Qualifications

• Working knowledge of dental procedures and terminology.
• Experience in fast-paced, customer-centric environments.
• Dental assistant certification and/or x-ray certification as required by state.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• HIPAA training and PHI protection responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome patients from the start of their dental journey, sustain patient comfort and provide education throughout treatment.
• Review patient health history to ensure quality care.
• Take and process x-rays and diagnostic assessments (iTero 3D scanner, digital photography).
• Provide chairside assistance (four-handed dentistry) to dentists in a variety of procedures.
• Use Dentrix for scheduling and record keeping.
