Job summary

Neibauer Dental Care Dumfries is seeking a full-time Dental Assistant to join a Heartland Dental Supported Practice. You’ll support clinicians with four-handed dentistry, operate Dentrix for scheduling, and help educate patients throughout treatment.

The role emphasizes collaboration, growth, and a strong team environment. The successful candidate will have a high school diploma, state-issued dental assistant permit with X-ray credentials, and a willingness to train.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• State-issued Dental Assistant permit and X-ray credentials required.
• X-ray certification and dental software experience preferred.
• Willing to train and join a collaborative team.

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome patients and provide education throughout treatment.
• Review patient health history to ensure quality care.
• Take and process x-rays and diagnostic assessments (e.g., iTero 3D scanner, digital photography).
• Provide four-handed chairside assistance to supported dentists.
• Utilize Dentrix for scheduling and record keeping.
• Prepare treatment rooms following safety protocols (OSHA & CDC).
• Manage supply/inventory and place orders as needed, supporting office workflow.
