Job summary

Heartland DentalCrofton Dental Suite is seeking a full-time experienced Dental Assistant to join our team. Greet patients, review health histories, take x-rays, and provide chairside assistance while maintaining strict safety and HIPAA standards.

Ideal candidates have dental assistant and/or x-ray certification, experience with Dentrix, and strong communication skills in a fast-paced, patient-centric environment. Monday–Friday schedule with comprehensive benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Working knowledge of dental procedures and terminology.
• Experience in a fast-paced, customer-centric environment.
• Dental assistant certification and/or x-ray certification as required by state law.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• HIPAA training and PHI protection obligations.

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome patients from the start of their dental journey and educate throughout treatment.
• Review patient health history to ensure quality care.
• Take and process x-rays and diagnostic assessments (iTero 3D scanner, digital photography, etc.).
• Provide chairside assistance (four-handed dentistry) to dentists.
• Use Dentrix for scheduling and record keeping.
• Prepare treatment rooms with safety protocols per OSHA & CDC guidelines.
• Manage supply and inventory levels and place/expedite orders.
• Collaborate with providers and team to implement Heartland Dental systems and improve office workflow.
