Job summary

Heartland Dental is seeking a dental assistant at Neibauer Dental Care in Woodbridge, VA. The role supports clinicians with four-handed dentistry, processes x-rays, and maintains patient records using Dentrix. You will greet patients, review health histories, and ensure a safe, welcoming environment.

Requirements include 1+ year dental experience and X-Ray certification; HIPAA training is required. The position follows a Mon-Fri 7:30a-5:00p schedule with every other Saturday morning availability.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in a dental setting.
• Working knowledge of dental procedures and terminology.
• Experience in fast-paced, customer-centric environment.
• X-Ray certification.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• HIPAA training and PHI protection required.

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome patients from the start of their dental journey, educate and comfort during treatment.
• Review patient health history to ensure quality care.
• Take and process x-rays and diagnostic assessments (iTero 3D scanner, digital photography).
• Provide chairside assistance (four-handed dentistry) to doctors.
• Utilize Dentrix for scheduling and record keeping.
• Prepare treatment room with OSHA/CDC safety protocols.
• Manage supply and inventory levels; place and expedite orders as needed.
• Collaborate with providers to implement Heartland Dental systems and improve workflow.
