Job summary

Sunset Avenue Dental, part of Heartland Dental's network, seeks a Dental Assistant to join our team. You will greet patients, review health history, take x-rays, perform chairside assistance and support the dentist during a variety of procedures.

You will use Dentrix for scheduling and records, maintain safety protocols, manage supplies, and collaborate to improve office workflow. The role offers training, growth opportunities, and a supportive environment.

Qualifications

• Working knowledge of dental procedures and terminology.
• Experience working in a fast-paced and customer-centric environment.
• If required under the state dental practice act, dental assistant certification and/or x-ray certification.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• HIPAA training and PHI protection responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome patients from the start of their dental journey, sustain patient comfort and provide education.
• Review patient health history to provide quality care.
• Take and process x-rays and other diagnostic assessments (iTero 3D scanner, digital photography).
• Provide chairside assistance to dentists during a wide variety of procedures.
• Use Dentrix for patient scheduling and record keeping.
• Prepare treatment room with safety protocols following OSHA & CDC recommendations.
• Manage supply and inventory levels, and place/expedite orders as needed.
• Partner with the providers and team to implement Heartland Dental systems and maximize office workflow.
