Job summary

Mill Creek Dental Care, a Heartland Dental supported office, is seeking a Dental Assistant to join our team in Saint Augustine, FL. You will greet patients, review health histories, take X-rays, and provide four-handed chairside support while maintaining safety standards.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of dental procedures and terminology.
• Experience in fast-paced, customer-centric environments.
• Dental assistant certification and/or x-ray certification as required by state act.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• HIPAA training and PHI protection requirements.

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome patients and educate them throughout treatment.
• Review health history to ensure quality care.
• Take and process X-rays and other diagnostics (iTero 3D scanner, digital photography).
• Provide four-handed chairside assistance to dentists.
• Use Dentrix for scheduling and record keeping.
• Prepare treatment rooms following safety protocols (OSHA & CDC).
• Manage supplies and inventory; place and expedite orders as needed.
• Collaborate with providers to optimize Heartland Dental systems and workflow.
