Job summary

Marsh View Dental Care in St. Cloud, FL seeks a Dental Assistant to join a collaborative team. The role involves greeting patients, reviewing health histories, taking and processing X-rays (iTero 3D scanner and digital photography), and providing four-handed chairside assistance to dentists.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of dental procedures and terminology
• Able to work in a fast-paced, customer-centric environment
• If required under state dental practice act, dental assistant certification and/or x-ray certification
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Access to minimum PHI; HIPAA training required and data safeguards maintained.

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome patients from the start of their dental journey and educate throughout treatment
• Review patient health history to ensure quality care
• Take and process x-rays and other diagnostic assessments (iTero 3D scanner, digital photography)
• Provide chairside assistance to dentists during procedures
• Use Dentrix for scheduling and record keeping
• Prepare treatment room with safety protocols in line with OSHA & CDC
• Manage supply and inventory levels and place/expedite orders as needed
• Partner with providers and team to implement Heartland Dental systems and maximize office workflow
