Job summary

Edgewater Family Dental, part of Heartland Dental, seeks a dedicated Dental Assistant to join our team in a patient-centric environment with advanced technology and strong support. You will help deliver high-quality care and comfort throughout treatment.

Responsibilities include four-handed dentistry, x-ray processing, Dentrix scheduling, and maintaining OSHA/CDC safety standards while enhancing our office workflow and patient experience.

Qualifications

• Dental procedures knowledge and terminology.
• Experience in fast-paced, customer-centric environments.
• State-required dental assistant and/or x-ray certification.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• HIPAA training and PHI protection responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and educate throughout treatment.
• Review health history for quality care.
• Take and process x-rays and diagnostics (iTero 3D scanner, digital photography).
• Provide chairside assistance (four-handed dentistry) to dentists.
• Use Dentrix for scheduling and records.
• Prepare treatment room with safety protocols (OSHA & CDC).
• Manage supplies and place orders.
• Collaborate to implement Heartland Dental systems and maximize workflow.
