Heartland Dental is seeking a Dental Assistant in Elkhart, IN. New program graduates welcome; Indiana Radiology license or permit with planned radiology test required.

You will support dentists with chairside care, take x-rays, and help educate patients throughout treatment. The role offers growth opportunities within a team of 11 professionals; the office uses Dentrix and iTero, with adherence to safety protocols and HIPAA compliance.

Qualifications

• Indiana Radiology license or permit with planned radiology test.
• Working knowledge of dental procedures and terminology.
• Experience in a fast-paced, customer-centric environment.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• HIPAA training and PHI safeguarding requirements.

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome patients from the start of their dental journey and educate through treatment.
• Review patient health history to provide quality care.
• Take and process x-rays and other diagnostic assessments (iTero 3D scanner, digital photography).
• Provide chairside assistance to dentists during procedures.
• Utilize Dentrix for scheduling and record keeping.
• Prepare treatment rooms following safety protocols and OSHA & CDC guidelines.
• Manage supply and inventory and place orders as needed.
• Collaborate with providers to implement Heartland Dental systems and optimize workflow.
