Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; dental assisting program accreditation preferred
• Current CPR certification required; Indiana radiographs license or provisional license within 6 months of graduation
• Dental Assisting National Board certification preferred but not required

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for treatment and assist with dental procedures
• Take and record vital signs and intraoral measurements
• Exposures of radiographs and evaluation for diagnostic quality
• Provide patient education on oral hygiene and post-operative instructions
• Assist with four-handed dentistry and basic restorative procedures
• Maintain sterilization and office equipment; manage supplies and inventory
• Support Dental Coordinator and back-up for Patient Services when needed
