Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Graduate of an accredited Dental Assistant program (preferred).
• Licensed in Indiana to take dental radiographs or provisional license convertible within 6 months.
• Current CPR certification.
• Dental Assisting National Board Certification (preferred).
• At least one year of Dental Assistant experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for treatment and assist with seating and positioning.
• Take and record vital signs.
• Assist with restorative and intraoral procedures and instrument transfers.
• Expose and evaluate dental radiographs of diagnostic quality.
• Provide patient education on oral hygiene and post-care instructions.
• Maintain sterilization and infection control procedures.
• Back up for Dental Patient Services Representative as needed.
• Follow clinic policies and report to Dental Coordinator.
